1. Who we are and when these terms apply
ASO Skill is provided by Hesselbom Tech AB, Swedish organization number 559450-0372, VAT number SE559450037201, with postal address Berguven 8, 436 53 Hovås, Sweden (“ASO Skill”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). You can contact us at viktor@asosuite.com.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between us and the person or organization using ASO Skill (“you”). They apply when you create an account, buy credits, use an API key, call an endpoint, or otherwise use the website, dashboard, or API (together, the “Service”). Our Acceptable Use Policy and Refund and Withdrawal Policy form part of these Terms.
If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for it. You must be at least 18 years old. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights that apply to you as a consumer.
2. The Service
ASO Skill provides programmatic access to App Store search results, app information, keyword-difficulty estimates, keyword-popularity estimates, and related ASO information. Available endpoints, request formats, response fields, and credit costs are described in the current API documentation.
Some output comes from or is calculated using third-party services, including Apple services. Other output, including difficulty and some popularity values, is calculated or inferred by ASO Skill. Scores are estimates intended to support analysis; they are not promises of traffic, ranking, downloads, revenue, or any other outcome.
3. Accounts and API keys
You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. API keys are long-lived secrets and remain valid until you revoke them, we rotate or revoke them for security, or the account ends. You are responsible for protecting your credentials and for activity performed with your keys.
Do not publish an API key in client-side code, public repositories, browser applications, or other places where unauthorized people can obtain it. Tell us promptly if you believe a credential or account has been compromised. We may temporarily restrict a key or account where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, customers, or upstream providers.
4. Credits and metering
ASO Skill uses prepaid credits. Unless the API documentation or checkout page states otherwise, one credit is used for each successful metered endpoint call, including a successful response served from cache. Balance checks, billing-pack discovery, and other endpoints identified as free do not consume credits.
A request rejected before processing, or one that ends in an ASO Skill or upstream error response, is not intended to consume a credit. If a credit is reserved before such a failure, the Service restores it automatically. A successful stale-cache response is a completed API response and consumes the stated credit.
Purchased and promotional credits do not expire merely because time passes while your account remains active. Promotional credits have no cash value and cannot be sold, transferred, or redeemed for money. Purchased credits are personal to the purchasing account unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Listed prices exclude applicable sales tax or VAT unless expressly stated otherwise. Polar calculates any applicable transaction tax and shows the final total before purchase. VAT-registered EU businesses may qualify for reverse-charge treatment. Polar Software, Inc. acts as merchant of record for credit purchases: Polar is the seller for the payment transaction, collects payment, calculates and remits applicable transaction taxes, and issues receipts or invoices. We provide and operate the ASO Skill Service. Refunds and statutory withdrawal rights are described in the Refund and Withdrawal Policy and Polar’s checkout terms.
5. Your right to use API output
Subject to these Terms and applicable law, we grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive right to access, store, reproduce, analyze, modify, combine, display, distribute, and commercially use output returned to you by the Service. This includes using output to build, operate, and sell your own applications, automations, reports, datasets, and services.
This permission does not transfer ownership of ASO Skill technology or grant rights in third-party names, trademarks, app content, or data beyond rights that we are legally able to grant. You are responsible for ensuring that your product and downstream use comply with law, third-party rights, and any additional obligations that apply to your use case. You must not imply that your product is operated, approved, or endorsed by ASO Skill or Apple unless separately authorized.
6. Your input and service improvement
You retain your rights in terms, app identifiers, storefront selections, and other material you submit (“Input”). You give us permission to process Input as needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, cache, and improve the Service. This includes retaining current keyword results and related popularity evidence so repeated requests can be served efficiently and fallback estimates can improve.
Do not submit personal data, confidential information, or sensitive information as search terms unless you have a lawful basis and have determined that sending it to ASO Skill and the relevant upstream provider is appropriate.
7. Caching, freshness, and Apple dependency
Responses may be cached. Different data types have different refresh targets, which are described in the API documentation and may change as the Service develops. When an upstream refresh is unavailable, rate-limited, or fails, ASO Skill may return an older cached response and identify it as stale or cached where the endpoint supports that metadata.
ASO Skill depends in part on Apple systems that we do not control. Apple may change, throttle, restrict, block, delay, or discontinue an endpoint or response format without notice. This can affect availability, freshness, completeness, and accuracy.
ASO Skill is independent of Apple Inc. and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Apple. Apple, App Store, Apple Ads, and related names and marks belong to their respective owners.
8. Availability and changes
The Service is provided on a best-effort basis and does not include a service-level agreement unless we sign a separate written agreement with you. Maintenance, security events, upstream failures, capacity limits, and other events may interrupt it.
We may add, change, or remove functionality and may update endpoint versions. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice before a material breaking change or permanent discontinuation. We may make immediate changes where required for security, law, or an upstream change.
9. Acceptable use
You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. Among other things, you may not bypass authentication, metering, rate limits, or safeguards; compromise other accounts; disrupt the Service or an upstream provider; or use the Service unlawfully. Legitimate commercial products built using API output are expressly permitted.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may ask us to close your account. We may suspend or terminate access where you materially breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay amounts due, or use the Service in a way that threatens ASO Skill, other customers, or an upstream provider. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
Account closure does not remove obligations or rights that by their nature continue, including payment obligations, licenses already granted for lawful processing, warranty disclaimers, liability provisions, and record retention required by law. Eligible refunds remain governed by the Refund and Withdrawal Policy and mandatory law.
11. Ownership
We and our licensors retain all rights in the Service, including its software, API design, documentation, branding, scoring methods, and infrastructure. Except for the rights expressly granted in these Terms, neither party transfers its intellectual property to the other.
If you voluntarily provide feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or payment, provided we do not identify you publicly without permission.
12. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Service and output are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, a particular refresh time, completeness, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or that Apple will continue making relevant data available. You are responsible for evaluating output before relying on it or supplying it to others.
These disclaimers do not exclude warranties, remedies, or statutory conformity requirements that cannot lawfully be excluded for consumers.
13. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where applicable, or personal injury caused by negligence.
For business users, to the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity, or data. Our aggregate liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid to ASO Skill during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
For consumers, our liability is governed by applicable mandatory consumer law. The business-user limitations above do not reduce those mandatory rights.
14. Business-user indemnity
If you use the Service as a business, you will defend and indemnify Hesselbom Tech AB against third-party claims arising from your unlawful Input, your product, or your material breach of these Terms, except to the extent the claim was caused by us. This section does not apply to consumers acting outside a trade or profession.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The page identifies the current version and effective date. If a change materially affects existing customers, we will provide reasonable notice through the website, dashboard, account email, or API documentation. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law; when required, we will ask you to accept the new version expressly.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Courts in Sweden have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right a consumer has to bring or defend a claim in another competent court under applicable law.
Please contact viktor@asosuite.com first so we can try to resolve a complaint. Consumers may also ask Sweden’s National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN) to review an eligible dispute. Information is available at arn.se. ARN’s recommendations are not court judgments.
